Mikael Selander — also known as Mikke Selander and formerly Mikke Hermansson — grew up in Lysekil, a small town on the Swedish west coast. It's an unlikely place to build a tech company. He did it anyway.
As CEO of Ancon, he took over an outdated POS company and turned it into one of Sweden's fastest-growing tech firms — rewriting the entire stack from legacy Windows to cloud-native SaaS, scaling the team from 8 to 30+, and winning Dagens Industri's prestigious Gazelle Award three years running. All from Lysekil. All without a single krona in venture capital.
