Mikael Selander grew up in Lysekil on Sweden’s west coast. He holds a degree in information systems and has worked in IT since graduating in 2007. His work combines product development, interface design and business leadership.
For seven years, from 2015 to 2021, he was CEO of POS company Ancon. He initiated two generations of restaurant platforms, served as product owner and designed their interfaces, working with the teams that developed and launched them.
Building restaurant technology means understanding the full working day: orders reaching the kitchen, staff closing a bill and owners keeping track of bookings and staffing. That experience informs the development of Vendion.
Vendion is his third restaurant platform. POS, staff management, table reservations, marketing, analytics and AI are designed to work together in one system. Operational reliability is the first priority.

Founded and led ZAZY Marketing — a digital marketing agency helping businesses grow through performance marketing, branding, and strategy.
Joined in 2014 and served as CEO from 2015 to 2021. Initiator, product owner and interface designer for two generations of restaurant POS platforms. The company received three DI Gazelle Awards during this period.
Information Systems degree from Örebro University. Worked as project manager and sales lead in IT across Western Sweden.
